After being stung by a jellyfish on our last beach trip.
I had been searching for a jellyfish sunblock.
I know years back GODIVA (makers of whitening skin care) had it.
But When I went to local beauty stores/ drugstores to look for it,
I realize godiva might be concentrating on beauty products more.
I couldn't find it...
Until just last month while checking for sunblock for my kids
Since summer time is just around the corner.
I stumbled on safesea sun protection sunblock.
SPF 50.
Best part, it says it prevents jellyfish sting.
So I bought it.
Cost P450.00
I have not tried this on the beach yet though.
Formula is really thick.
Fragrance free (regular sunblock scent)
If you have sensitive skin, please do a patch test first.
I tried it, upon applying my skin feels warm,
So it might sting for people who have sensitive skin.
I think this is best for body use only.
Note:
Though this is anti jellyfish.
I still advice people to be wary of jellyfish.
Their sting is really painful. Like being burned.
If you are stung, first aid only is to pour vinegar (any kind) on it.
And let it sit a few minutes.
If you have burn ointment of any kind. Put your ointment after.
Specially if you have kids and plan to go to the beach.
Bring vinegar (better on a sprayer) the. Any burn ointment.
I am glad that I was the one stung before and not my kids.

Review : Wacoal sanitary "menstral" panty
Every month I worry about stains
When my monthly period comes.
Years back I was able to buy a sanitary panty by wacoal
It was on sale so I though I can try it out.
I got 2. Sale price was P220.00 each
It really made washing my underwear a lot easier even when stained.
And it made me worry free because the backing was somewhat waterproof.
But now, my menstral flow got heavier.
I had to double my overnight pad with a liner.
Or I would stain our sheets.
Lucky for me when I went Christmas shopping for family.
I saw at wacoal that they had a better version of their sanitary panty.
The backing is full.
That means my bedsheet will have lesser chance of getting red stains.
Which is really hard to wash off.
Though price is a lot more expensive. I think 400 each.
This is really just for sanitary napkin use.
As the backing can feel warm if used daily.
you might end up with a rash.
My verdict is LOVE IT.

porridge/ congee for baby rice for me
This is a tip on how to cook "lugaw" congee for baby the faster way.
This is for those busy moms who has no time to cook porridge for baby
I was experimenting how we could cook "lugaw" for baby
Without the luxury of time to stir the congee.
This saves both time and electricity.
You will need a heat resistant glass container. (deep enough)
preferably bowls with out leg/feet, as cooked rice with stick to the bottom.
We experimented with a few containers.
But those round glass lock &lock sealed containers worked best.
No need for the cover.
put a "dakot" of rice on the glass bowl
wash rice 2-3 times.
put water, usually double the quantity of the rice.
Prepare your rice how you normally prepare.
Then place glass bowl on top of the uncooked rice.
Then cook together
Then cook your rice as you would normally do.
This is how it should come out.
Less hassle!
Rice for me then congee for baby.

ellana cheek dots update
Ever since I got my Ellana Cheek dots, I hardly use other blushers.
I have all shiseido blushers except for medusa.
Some nars and Shu uemura.
I have never swatch my nars for preview because its so popular that almost all the bloggers have it.
being satisfied with Ellana cream blushers I hardly search on blush anymore.
I have illusion and Icon for a while,
and had been eying on Goddess.
Goddess description on website is baby doll pink.
Its very subtle.
I usually put this when I want a no makeup look, it just gives your face a little color.
Beside the ellana swatches is body shop's lip and cheek satin just to give a comparison
I placed a dot and swatch.
Its hardly visible.
Maybe the tint I got is too long ago that it has lost its hue.
there is another color - Diva, which I never got
cause it looks bronze, I already have a lot of bronzers and I think it would be hard for me to apply
using a small brush.
The opening of the container is quite small , I think almost as big as a 1 peso coin only.
These blush, last quite well on me, I have normal skin.
maybe because its cream, so far no allergies.
Though it has dried up a little, but still good, just harder to get.
I use a round brush I got it from amazon - bdellium brand.
So far that has work for me.
I am more of a brush addict than any other.
I have a bag of brush which I am still to learn to use
so I can say bdellium brush works better on this little cheek dot.
Hope this works for you as well.

Sunblocks
Part of my everyday routine is putting sunblock on my face and arms. When I was younger I use Dermplus sunblock - I can't remember why I stopped using this frankly there are no cons about this brand and really affordable.
After I was using Shiseido sun protection lotion SPF50 the one in the blue bottle since I am usually loyal to a product if it does not give me irritation. I used 2 bottles of these.
PRO : I can really feel and see the sunblock. really waterproof especially if love to swim or go to the beach.
CONS: Hard to remove and leave a white cast. Brand is expensive around P1000+
Neutrgena Ultra Sheer - Dry touch sunblock SPF 50 I think they have this on different SPF levels. I didn't have problems with this until the 2nd tube. I am not sure if they changed formulation or I didn't get the right one. Second bottle gives a mild sting on my face, though does not make my red itchy. Skin on my face is normal, I am not sensitive. So this ended up for arms and body use only.
Estee Lauder Cyber White SPF 30 My face looks glowy after application but I think it has blue micro fine glitters. If I use this too long, my face eventually starts to itch. If its just for special days, I think it could work. But I just finished the tube up on my arm. I am not sure if this is still available
SHU UEMURA UV armor high protection face cream SPF 50 I love this sunblock really light weight, no white cast, easy to rinse off at night. I am not sure if it really comes in a set but when we got it in dutyfree SA said it was cheaper if I got the 2in1 bottle. Very light on the face, not sticky. Easy to wash. Only con I would think is the price. Last sunblock I have tried is
Shiseido Urban Environment UV protection cream SPF 50 I think they have this on 2 SPF levels 35 and 50. I am one of those people thinking that I need very high SPF so I always chose the higher one, which is not always better because high SPF sunblocks could leave a whitecast on your face. I love this sunblock as well, almost identical to shu's but a little oilier. and as most shiseido items. This is quite expensive. but if will only be used for the face, it would last you 6-8months. I think most of these sunblocks reviewed are unscented. so you do not smell like your going to the beach after application. How about you?
What sunblock do you use?

Ellana cheek / lip dot
Though I collect makeup and brushes.
I hardly use them
I got fascinated with tints a month ago.
I read that a lot loved the vmv one, but when I went to buy it,
I found out that it was no longer sold.
I have one by body shop but I didn't know how to really blend it.
I was reading reviews about ellana lip and cheek tint.
I wanted to try but I couldn't find a good swatch on it.
So when one time I passed by a stall selling ellana
I tried to ask then about it but they did not have it in stock.
then I saw the ellana lip/cheek dot.
since it was only P180. I thought why not give it a try.
and I am so happy I did.
It gave me natural looking blush that not even nars and shiseido could give...
don't get me wrong
I love my powder blushers but
I could not achieve a natural look as what these dots can do.
texture is creamy, like cream blush.
this is how it looks like on my hand and cheeks
Color description on packaging
Icon is strawberry red
Illusion watermelon peach
since my skin is yellow tone, peach does not show much but still gives you a healthy flush.
When topped/sealed with powder, this last 6-8hrs for me.
It looks natural on me.
my skin is not oily, I think normal/combination skin.
only if topped with powder.
I tried this as base then topped with powder blush, it looked great on photo.
So I really recommend it.
The only con I have for this is the packaging.
it is really a size of a dot.
If you are familiar with mineral eyeshadow samplers, then that is the size.
Good thing I have a round brush that fits it.
Using my brush I put a dot size color on my cheeks then buff away.

Too much toothbrush
I have a cabinet of toothbrush.
My husband says I'm crazy...
My teeth is not perfect.
Its small for my age, like baby tooth.
I do not know why most toothbrushes make my gums bleed.
So I ended buying too many toothbrush to try out.
I have tried colgate, Oral B, Darlie, Cleene and others which I can't even remember the name anymore.
If the brush is too soft, I feel like it is not cleaning my teeth enough.
I love REACH toothbrush but I do not know why it is discontinued here.
If I use children's toothbrush. The handle is usually shorter.
I have tried Oral B, Sensodyne but it seems too soft.
And some brush handles are too big that it bumps my lower teeth.
Maybe my mouth is small too.
But when I passed by PCX last month,
I found a toothbrush that works.
Its called ORASHINE
The bristles are bristles are tapered, makes it easy to reach areas.
The handle gives a good grip.
Box says its a techno Power Brush with Acu tension.
Price is P99.75 at PCX.
update: though I love this toothbrush.
I learned that the bristles fall off early.
I hope they make the quality better.
